With advancements in science and technology, robotic-assisted surgery has gained increasing popularity, particularly in the fields of oral surgery and implantology, which are among the most intricate procedures in dentistry. This chapter explores the progression from conventional surgical methods to the development of remote and virtual surgical systems. As technology continues to evolve, it is expected that many of the current challenges and limitations will be progressively addressed and overcome.
