Practice and Prospect of Carbon Dioxide Geological Storage Drilling and Completion Technology

In order to implement the national major decision-making deployment of ‘carbon peak, carbon neutralization’ and make the carbon released back to the earth for geological storage, carbon dioxide geological storage is a geological engineering technology that can realize large-scale greenhouse gas emission reduction, and drilling is a necessary technical means for carbon dioxide geological storage. Aiming at the main problems of carbon dioxide geological storage, this paper makes a preliminary study on the construction technology, drilling and completion technology, wellbore integrity assessment and carbon dioxide geological storage leakage monitoring technology that need to be solved in carbon dioxide geological storage drilling engineering. The development of CCS technology in China is prospected. The key technologies discussed in this paper can provide certain technical support and guidance for the later large-scale construction of carbon geological storage drilling engineering.
