Development of Water Control & Completion Technology in Oilfields Contribution

摘要

Aiming at the problem of high water cut in horizontal well, water control & completion technology (WCCT) can effectively reduce water cut in oil well and improve oil production. WCCT in horizontal well in China have experienced several stages, such as sand control and water control completion, ICD segregated completion, “chemical + mechanical” water control recompletion, AICD segregated completion, intelligent water control completion and so on, which have played the effect of stabilizing oil and controlling water. The core of WCCT is downhole water control valve technology. With the development of water control tools such as AICD, ICV and pressure-control valve, intelligent water control & completion technology will become the mainstream in the future. The application of WCTT should be included in development strategy of the whole oilfield block as a fundamental starting point. Integrated fine management model of geology, reservoir, development and engineering should be developed, which will optimize injection-production pattern, study water production mechanism and delay the rise of water efficiently. In order to meet intelligent water control requirements, it is necessary to keep research on key technologies such as intelligent WCTT and stable and reliable downhole intelligent water control valve.
