Development and Application of Friction and Torque Reduction Tools for Extended Reach Well

In Jidong Oilfield deviated well in drilling in the construction process of friction torque and the casing wear problem, design a lower friction torque and protective sleeve degrading antifriction torsion tool. Based on comparing the advantages and disadvantages of reducing the friction reducing torsional tools, the structure design of rubber jacket, low resistance and wear resistant ceramic coating sleeve and the spindle split. Three-dimensional drill stem stress analysis model based on the commonly used combination of tensile and torsional strength of drill pipe and ZJ70D drilling rig top drive unit maximum continuous working torque limits, the tool spindle tensile and torsional parameters; and according to the ability and the construction of well trajectory, drilling equipment construction, the establishment of efficient reduction of friction by twisting the installation position and the number of tools. Laboratory tests show that the tensile strength of the tool spindle reaches 4500KN, and the torsional strength reaches 60kN - m, and the safety performance meets the safety requirements of the construction site. 5 horizontal displacement of the tool in Jidong Oilfield over 2000m well field tests were conducted and the average reduce drilling torque in more than 15%, and the drilling force has a good improving function, reducing wear on the drill sleeve, achieved good results. The successful development of the high efficiency tool for reducing friction and torsion provides a new technical means for reducing the torque and protecting casing in high angle well and large displacement well.
