Design and Test of Cable Sealing Component of Conductive Slip Ring for Electric Drilling System

摘要

The conductive slip ring is a key device for achieving underground power supply and bidirectional information transmission of Electric Drilling System, and the sealing of non-circular cross-section cables is an important element to ensure the reliable operation of the conductive slip ring, but the conventional sealing method is difficult to meet the requirements. According to the installation space of the conductive slip ring and the cable structure, two kinds of cable seal test component were designed and manufactured by means of customized sealing sleeve and filling sealant. Through hydrostatic test, their sealing performance and reliability were studied and analyzed, and the sealing method suitable for non-circular cross-section cables was optimized and improved. The test results show that the use of customized sealing sleeve is easy to cause problems such as sealing surface movement and uneven compression, which can not meet the sealing requirements of non-circular cross-section cables. In comparison, the method of filling sealant has strong adaptability to the sealing of non-circular cross-section cables and can be combined with mechanical clamping methods to further improve the reliability of cable sealing. On this basis, a cable sealing component that combines filling sealant and mechanical clamping has been developed which solves the problem of non-circular cross-section cable sealing of the conductive slip ring, and it was successfully verified by the actual drilling test, and will provide important support and guarantee for the safe and reliable application of Electric Drilling System.
