A New Technology for Drilling Fluid Reservoir Protection Applied to Heavy Oil Reservoirs

摘要

Due to its high viscosity, heavy oil reservoirs are highly susceptible to the invasion of foreign fluids, resulting in increased oil flow resistance and serious reservoir damage. This article improves the indoor evaluation method of drilling fluid damage to heavy oil reservoirs by introducing factors affecting the spontaneous generation of heavy oil through stratigraphic simulation, and further improves the damage mechanism of heavy oil reservoirs; Through the research of step-by-step matching sealing and heavy oil viscosity reduction technology, the on-site drilling fluid system has been optimized and improved, forming a new drilling fluid technology suitable for heavy oil reservoir protection. The new drilling fluid technology reduces the invasion depth of reservoirs by 36.4%, and the recovery value of reservoir permeability reaches over 90%, demonstrating good reservoir protection effects.
