The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR’s) Center of Innovation and Bio-Design (CIBioD) is a platform at Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, founded under the aegis of ICMR, New Delhi. The primary aim of this center is to promote frugal and disruptive innovation (through promotion of quality research) and indigenous technologies to fabricate robust, sustainable, and affordable healthcare ideas into viable products by creating a conducive ecosystem with the involvement of multiple premier technology institutes in collaboration with PGIMER, Chandigarh. Our mission is to create innovative solutions to overcome the existing bottlenecks in “affordable healthcare” by bringing together the best Indian medical and technical experts so that they work jointly on cutting-edge technologies.
