Developing an Informatics Work Environment

Data are the equivalent to experimental samples within materials and catalyst informatics, with computers acting as the equivalent of experimental devices. Given the field’s dependency on data quantity and quality, the question turns toward how an informatics working environment can be established. In this chapter, the world of computers is introduced and explored with a guide for how one can go about constructing an informatics working environment.
