Development of Smart Intelligent Medicine Monitoring System (SIMMS)
摘要
Medications play an essential role in everyday life for a person suffering from various diseases. Suppose a person who fails to follow taking medication as prescribed or as scheduled, it may increase health risks or even death. This situation can be considered medication errors such as medication mistakes, incorrect dosage, double dose, caused by forgetfulness, confusion, and improper timing in the medication self-management. This paper aims to enhance the monitoring system as a reminder for a person to take medications and to monitor the elderly to take the medications. To make the monitoring system ‘smart,’ the system connects to the wireless network and the system can pre-set the alarm time interval to take medications by the guardian. The smart monitoring utilizes a reminder system using a buzzer and the light from an LED to create the alarm to remind the elderly or user to take the medications. The real-time monitoring of taking the medications over the internet network where an LDR sensor is placed inside each pillbox compartment to monitor the users. When the users open the cover of any compartment, the action will be traced, monitored, and recorded through the internet with the Blynk server. The signal can be monitored in real time through the Blynk app with Android/iOS smartphones. The Superchat function in the Blynk app enables it to monitor any signal from the pillbox compartment, which will be updated in real time. The system is able to monitor in real time by receiving notifications and tracing patients if they are taking the wrong medications.
