Building a Friendly Campus with the Fragrance of Books and Plants: The Campus Construction of Shanmuping Primary School in Guizhou

Shanmuping Primary School is located in Hexi Town, Southeast of Zheng’an County, Guizhou Province, eighteen kilometers away from the county town. First established in the 1940s, it is a complete village-level primary school with a long history yet a small scale. There are now 6 classes, 145 students and 13 teachers. Statistics of September 2018 showed that there were altogether 73 left-behind children in the whole school, among whom 63 with both parents not at home, 10 with one parent not at home, 69 taken care of by grandparents and 5 by other relatives.
