摘要

T cells and their subsets play a crucial role in optimizing immune response against inflammation, but impairment of its regulation can contribute to pathology of inflammatory disorders. Most of these diseases are associated with dysregulated resolution of inflammation, where “ON-signal” continues even after removal of the causative agent(s), and damage the neighboring host cells and ultimately the tissues. This continuous “ON” pro-inflammatory signal prevents shifting of T cell response to anti-inflammatory nature during resolution leading to tissue damage. In this chapter, we will discuss about regulatory mechanism(s) of T cell response during inflammation and how its impairment affects the resolution of inflammation.
