摘要

Remote health monitoring has emerged as a significant area of interest, driven primarily by remarkable advancements in technology that enhanced accessibility and convenience. The rise in remote monitoring has experienced substantial (Pedrana et al. in IEEE Sens. J. 20:14,482–490, 2020), particularly amid the ongoing pandemic, where healthcare services are accessible remotely without the need to physically visit the doctors. The recent technology findings have enabled remote monitoring of patients’ heart condition, ensuring that healthcare professionals can assess their cardiac conditions from any location. The article presents a prototype for monitoring heart condition using optical technology where the data is transferred to a mobile device via Bluetooth processing card in real time. The data is stored in a database to be consulted and visualized by the patient and doctor from any computer. The data will be processed, and an alert will be sent to emergency contact if abnormal heart rhythm is detected. The prototype was validated with normal heart condition patients with acceptable results.
