Labyrinth Maze-Shaped Split Ring EM Metamaterial Absorber for C and X Band Application
摘要
This work aims to provide a maze-shaped split ring metamaterial absorber (MMA) with a high absorption rate. The unit cell’s resonator’s well-engineered split cut assists in obtaining this adequate absorption. This MMA is created using a 10 mm unit cell and an FR4 substrate (permittivity = 4.4). In this MMA, EM waves have been utilized in TEM mode at normal and oblique incidences of a maximum of 80° and 180°, respectively, and the same absorption of 93.70%, 93.32%, 99.96%, and 96.04% at four different resonance frequencies has been gained. In the C and X bands, resonance frequencies of 4.44, 6.24, 8.50, and 11.50 GHz, the design functions as a single negative (SNG) MM absorber. Radar absorption, wireless communication, microwave imaging, and radio astronomy applications are feasible with the suggested metamaterial.
