摘要
Family medicine comprises comprehensive health care for people and their families and provides continuing health care to everyone across all ages, genders, and diseases [1]. Although family medicine has been an age-old practice globally and in India, it has slowly given way to specialist medical care. While it is not practiced as much in eye care as it is for systemic care, even in the latter, it is decreasing. Despite its dwindling popularity, one of the key advantages of family medicine is last-mile access, especially to vulnerable individuals, due to their age, sickness, and/or mobility constraints.
