摘要

The current scientific view regarding genderGender (AUMore than “1321” occurrences of the keyword “Gender” are found in text. We have picked the first instance page number from each chapter and where the term is explained in detail.) difference in nutrition is that there are differences between men and women regarding nutrient requirements, dietary patterns, and susceptibility to certain diseases. Analysis of sex/gender difference through nutritional epidemiology has been studied for a long time, and it is well known that these differences exist due to factors such as sex hormones, distribution and contents of body fat and muscle, and metabolic rate, suggesting that men and women may respond differently to dietary interventions and may have different nutritional needs for the prevention and treatment of various diseases. The effects of nutrients based on sex/gender differences have been shown to differ not only in metabolic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and obesity but also mental disorders. Overall, gender differences in nutrition are important considerations in disease prevention and treatment, and more research is needed to fully understand the extent and implications of these differences.
