摘要

Fuel cell hybrid electric vehicles (FCHEVs) have emerged as an up-and-coming solution in the automotive industry, with a battery used in parallel with the fuel cell (FC) for the purposes of initiating the engine, powering up in cold temperatures, managing electrical braking surges, and storing energy. This paper tries to develop a basic model of a hybrid powertrain using Matlab/Simulink and analyzes its performance during the application of normalized driving cycles. The power management discussed and applied in the control system of the hybrid vehicle are developed and optimized with advanced power management methods utilized in fuel cell vehicles, that includes: the state engine control strategies, maximum efficiency strategies, and the proportional integral control strategies. Therefore, the performances of the model are tested and simulated in MATLAB/Simulink environment. The obtained results decline an optimal use of the FC as well as preserving a long-term capacities Li-ion battery integrated in the model.
