Critical Success Factors of Blockchain Implementation in the Automotive Supply Chain Management: Contribution Through an Interpretive Structural Model

Almost all the industrial sectors are in perpetual pursuit to be competitive in the market and to maintain sustainability which is the case for the automotive industry which must be always at the top of its customers’ expectations. Therefore, automotive manufacturers should be accommodated and flexible to any digital transformation including today’s orientation towards distributed networks instead of servers, we speak of the new revolutionary technology “Blockchain”. The objective of our study is to identify the key success factors of blockchain adoption in the automotive supply chain (ASC) and then to examine the correlation between these success factors to define a structural model of CSFs for the implementation of blockchain in the automotive supply chain by using the ISM (Interpretive Structural Modelling of Critical Success Factor) method. Thus, the result obtained from this research is that the success of blockchain implementation in ASC is driven by two factors: “Digital transformation awareness” & “top management support commitment”.
