摘要

The surge in energy demand, coupled with escalating costs and the pursuit of sustainable development, has underscored the significance of energy efficiency. Embracing energy efficiency helps combat energy dissipation and reduces costs by optimizing the use of energy sources. Many countries, including Morocco, have adopted a national energy efficiency strategy to curtail their energy expenses. Morocco aims to achieve a 20% energy savings target by 2030, encompassing all economic and social activities. To address the challenge of rising electricity bills, Morocco, including Ibn Tofail University, has recognized the potential of energy efficiency and renewable energy in the construction sector. By leveraging these approaches, the country seeks to tackle its energy-related issues and contribute to the global fight against climate change. At Ibn Tofail University’s Faculty of Literature and Human Sciences in Kenitra (FLSH), efforts are underway to identify long-term solutions for reducing electricity expenses and exploring promising avenues to meet energy requirements effectively. Specifically, a study was conducted at the National School of Applied Sciences to minimize energy consumption. This study explored various options and delved into the technical feasibility, financial viability, and environmental impact of potential self-consumption photovoltaic installations as a sustainable energy solution.
