Operational Consumption Planning in a Hybrid LV Microgrid

In this study, we would present a comparison between the turbulent flow of water-based optimization (TFWO) and multi-agent system (MAS) in a hybrid Low voltage microgrid (LVMG). The main objective is to determine the best planning algorithm to manage the allocation of energy needed by loads and generate the supply for the sources within a LVMG with the integration of renewable energies. Two algorithms are adopted, the first one is based on the turbulent flow management approach inspired by a phenomenon created in water (rivers, seas, and oceans), it allows to find the best source that corresponds to the power required by the load. And the second one represents the optimization of multi-agent systems (MAS) which rely on independent agents regarding sources or loads, it’s a controllable system that affects adequate producer agents to consumer agents. The proposed algorithms are used to find the solution for the planification of consumption by respecting all the available sources, in this case, it is advantageous to use MAS optimization.
