Backstepping-Based Control of Single-Phase AC-DC Bidirectional Power Converter in V2H Charger
摘要
This paper focuses on modeling and controlling a bidirectional battery electric vehicle charger designed for vehicle-to-home (V2H) applications. The charger under study is a single-phase, dual-stage design that connects an EV high-voltage battery to a dc-dc and an ac-dc power converter. First, a mathematical model of the considered system is developed. Then, the backstepping technique is used to design control laws with twofold objectives: (i) ensuring the supply of home loads with a sinusoidal voltage and (ii) regulating the dc-bus voltage and protecting the battery from over-discharge. Numerical simulations have been performed to showcase the effectiveness of the proposed control approach.
