Tent Chaotic Virtual Force Algorithm Based Node Deployment of Wireless Sensor Network in Airport Terminal

As the mainly method of traditional temperature measurement, Wired Sensor Network (WSN) was used in the airport terminal frequently. However, the sensing blind zones exist due to the fixed sensor position and large monitoring space, and this issue can cause the inaccurate monitoring datas and increasing energy consumption. To solve this issue, we have proposed the deployment strategy for WSN node based on the Tent Chaotic Virtual Force Algorithm (TVFA) to reduce the monitoring blind spots in the terminal building. In this algorithm, the disturbance factors are used in initial deployment stage and whole process of Virtual Force Algorithm (VFA). And these perturbation factors are chaotic during the initial deployment of sensor nodes and after each iteration of the VFA, which improves the coverage of initial and final deployment and speeds up the convergence of the algorithm, where the obstacle region is not considered for node deployment. The simulation results and the analysis prove that the proposed approach is better in coverage rate and convergence speed by comparing with traditional VFA and Chaotic Fruit Fly Algorithm (CFOA).
