摘要

In this paper, graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) are thoroughly characterized and examined in the form of particles before formulating as nanofluids for heat transfer applications as this study aims to create stable, evenly dispersed GNPs in a base fluid and analyze their thermal and structural properties. This study intends to investigate the morphology of the graphene nanoplatelets before formulating it into a nanofluid. The particle size, morphology, and crystallinity of the GNPs are analyzed using a particle size analyzer, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). This study advances the knowledge of GNPs as nanofluids and their use in engineering systems, resulting in more effective and environmentally friendly heat management solutions. Findings from FESEM show the morphology of the GNPs with the size ranging from 98 to 400 µm. The particle size analyzer shows that the GNPs powder size ranges from 100 to 1000 µm, and XRD shows the crystallinity of the graphene has the highest peak.
