摘要

Variations in the addition of absorberAbsorber fin in seawaterSeawater desalination technology using single slope solarSolar still have been conducted by many researchers to reduce heat loss during the testing process. The addition of the absorption surface area of heat energyEnergy becomes the foundation of the development of this experiment. This study was conducted to test the single slope solarSolar still distillation results using variations in absorberAbsorber height. The absorbersAbsorber used were a type of hollow circular fin with 2 cm and 4 cm in height. The research was conducted experimentally with an hourly data collection system starting from 07.00 to 18.00 WIB GMT+7. The productivity of distilled water produced by 2 cm and 4 cm fins was compared with the results of conventional solarSolar still. The results noted an increase in distilled water productivity of 32.74% at 2 cm fins and 20.46% at 4 cm fins. The assumption of increasing the fin height to expand the heat absorption surface decreased productivity. Cumulated productivity of the solarSolar stills were 855 mL, 1135 mL and 1030 mL, respectively from conventional, 2 cm and 4 cm fin height.
