摘要

A growing trend in composite material today is the usage of recyclable composite to address ecological and environmental issues. The requirement to appropriately fabricate recyclable composite is growing along with its utilization. Yet this understanding has remained a challenge for the design engineer. Therefore, this study aims to explore how to combine coconutCoconut coir as a reinforcing material and polypropylene (PP) as a recyclable polymerPolymer matrix. By using Hot press Molding, two methods were developed and compared. These two approaches differ not only in the fabrication stage but also in the raw material forms. In the first approach, a PP sheet was used, whereas in the second, PP pellets were used directly in the molding. The findings indicate that PP pellets give better outcomes since the composite is formed more quickly, with more evenly distributed coconutCoconut coir, and with fewer voids.
