摘要

Stainless steelSteels (SS) 316 L is commonly used as an electrolysis electrode to produce hydrogen. Therefore, an investigation of the electrochemicalElectrochemical behavior and surface properties of SS 316 L after the electrolysis process is needed. In this paper electrochemicalElectrochemical behavior of SS 316 L in various temperatures of potassium hydroxide (KOH) solutions was performed. Open circuit potential (OCP) and linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) was conducted for the electrochemicalElectrochemical behavior of SS 316 L to see steady voltage and corrosionCorrosion behavior. After an electrochemicalElectrochemical test, analysis was also performed according to X-ray diffractometer (XRD) to see the present phase. A 25 °C temperature sample needs more time to reach a steady state. Elevated temperature promoted to increase corrosionCorrosion rate. Elevating the KOH solution temperature could influence the phase formed on the SS 316 L surface.
