Regulating Space Data Management
摘要
Space data management still lacks a comprehensive regulatory framework. This chapter aims to address three primary objectives. Firstly, it analyses the current state of the art to identify gaps and challenges arising from the needs of the sector and users. Secondly, it delves into a potential space data management framework and its content from two perspectives: (1) ensuring the secure utilisation of space data and (2) establishing new procedural frameworks for the application of space data by public administrations across various industries, thereby facilitating their widespread implementation. Lastly, the chapter examines the feasibility of implementing a harmonised space data management framework at the international, supranational, or European level.
