It aims to reduce loss of life, minimize societal and economic costs, improve governmental services, enhance security, and protect resources. The initiative integrates state-of-the-art space-based capabilities into public and private sectors, providing essential information and tools to prevent, mitigate, and manage a range of risks and crises. It seeks to strengthen Europe’s leadership in Earth Observation and communications systems, support digital sovereignty, and position Europe as a global leader in civil security and humanitarian action. The project underscores the importance of data optimization and collaboration to effectively monitor and respond to security challenges.
