摘要

Device-to-Device (D2D) communication is a key technology for next-generation cellular networks, promises high data rates with efficient resource management. However, D2D communication is often constrained by distance and channel quality, necessitating relay-assistedD2Dto enhance transmission capacity and coverage. D2D is crucial for both public safety and commercial applications, ensuring efficient delivery of critical information for incident response and supporting activities like messaging, streaming, and gaming. As 5G networks expand the number of connected devices, the challenges of spectrum reuse become more severe. This study introduces a novel model that prioritizes boundary users for service provision via relay-based D2D multicasting in inband overlay mode. To form clusters, we employ the widely-used DBSCAN algorithm. Utilizing the NS2 simulator, we conduct comprehensive simulations and present detailed results. Comparative analysis against established methods reveals that relay-based multicasting offers substantial enhancements in both coverage and Quality of Service (QoS).
