Sustaining Heritage: Optimizing Digital Platforms for Empowering Marginalized Artisans in India with Machine Learning Integration
摘要
This paper analyzes the digital platforms of nongovernment organizations, designed to connect India's low-income, marginalized traditional artisans with newer modern consumer markets that offer eco-friendly and handcrafted products. The approach of a sustainable marketplace attracts cultural heritage while accelerating growth in the rural economic base. However, such a marketplace does pose problems with usage and navigation. This research implements principles of Human-Computer Interaction, particularly Nielsen's Usability Heuristics, along with Machine Learning integration to enhance the user experience of accessing this information by consumers who are artisans in both urban and rural areas. The intended improvement is increased satisfaction and user engagement, thereby achieving the platform's sustainability and preservation mission.
