This article presents a study conducted as part of the “Conservation of Historic Structures by Engineering Measures” project, supported by Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) and National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT). The main objectives were to document and assess the structural conditions of historical structures. The study focused on famous historical sites located in the Ayutthaya Historical Park, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991. The research includes the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and Structure From Motion (SFM) techniques to survey accurate geometry and construct image-based 3D models of historical sites. Additionally, dynamic tests and analyses were conducted on ancient monuments, along with finite element analyses of historic structures under environmental loads. A significant outcome of the research are the comprehensive documentation and assessment the existing conditions of historic structures. This documentation could serve as a valuable reference for future interventions and facilitate the development of sustainable conservation plans.
