Zoroastrianism and Fire Worship
摘要
In 1987, Yanghai cemetery and Dalangkan cemetery were stolen in Shanshan County, Turpan region, Xinjiang. Xinjiang Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology sent researcher Zhang Tienan with Turpan Regional Cultural Relics Management Institute to deal with them. A total of 130 cultural relics were collected and cleared and a brief introduction was published. Since then, Turpan area cultural administration office has recovered and collected some of the scattered cultural relics in the farmers’ homes and cemeteries. In this cleaning, a wooden bowl (No. 87 CYP: 108) was collected. Due to the limitation of archaeological excavation data at that time, it did not realize the importance of the object, but it was registered as a very ordinary circular wooden bowl. In 2010, Turpan Regional Museum identified it as a 2-3-grade cultural relic.
