Plastic, Micro-Plastic and Nanoplastic: An Emerging Contaminants and it Environmental Impacts
摘要
The widespread occurrence of plastic waste and the sluggish rate at which it degrades make it a worldwide problem. This man-made tragedy is being investigated by scientists all around the world in an effort to find long-term answers to the problem. Recycling and reuse are very practical options for reducing the load and the negative effects on the environment. As a result, several rules and legislation pertaining to the management of solid waste have been developed, with plastic waste being maintained as a key target zone. The active participation of a wide variety of stakeholders is an important factor in the functioning of society. At the same time, the door to new prospects needs to be left open for any innovative approach that may be taken to cut down on and eliminate plastics. Nanoplastics, which are fewer than 100 nanometres in size, are an increasing environmental problem. In fact, plastics, microplastics, and nanoplastics have emerged as substantial environmental pollutants, presenting a variety of difficulties to ecosystems, animals, and human health.
