The History of Copyright Law: Customary Rights, Droit D’auteur, and Socialist Ideology
摘要
Having charted the historical evolution of Vietnam’s legal system within which intellectual property law has posited and developed, it is now appropriate to start discussing the law in its own historical merits. This chapter will start with the reconstructing the lost history of Vietnam’s copyright law in the twentieth century. More importantly, in doing so it will discuss in great depth a complicating development and transformation of the law from a system initially designed to control and at times oppress creative freedom to a system tasked with incentivising it later.
