MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System) spatial light modulators (SLMs) enable a flexible and fast control of light that opens pathway to compact near-to-eye display engine. We introduce novel use cases of the MEMS SLMs for time-of-flight lidar and AR projection engine that enables wide field-of-view (FOV) image transfer beyond FOV of image guiding device.
