In this paper, we present a series of algorithms to calculate the power of each political party in a parliamentary system. For this purpose, it is necessary to calculate the proportion of parliamentary majorities in which their participation is necessary. The usefulness of the proposed methods is illustrated with a real case study: the Spanish electoral system. For this system, we analyze all the elections that have taken place since the establishment of democracy in the country. For each electoral process, we compare the power that each party would have if the allocation of deputies were proportional to the number of votes, and the real power it has with the current electoral system. The results obtained contradict intuitions that the Spanish population usually has about its own electoral system.

摘要
