To achieve the goal of ‘‘double carbon’’ by 2060, China has comprehensively implemented the green transition strategy, and the development of green finance has ushered in a huge turnaround, green credit as a representative of green finance has also attracted a lot of attention in recent years, coupled with the fact that commercial banks, which aim to make profits, will inevitably pay attention to the impact of the green credit policy on their business performance, so it is necessary to study how the implementation of the green credit policy will affect the business performance of Chinese commercial banks. It is necessary to study how the implementation of green credit policy affects the business performance of commercial banks in China. The article combed through the relevant literature and selected 15 commercial banks as research samples, established regression models for empirical research, the results show that the implementation of green credit policy will reduce the operating performance of commercial banks, and the implementation of green credit policy on the state-owned banks and joint-stock banks will have a different impact on the operating performance of different effects. Based on this, the article empirically analyses the reasons for the above conclusions and gives corresponding countermeasure suggestions.
