Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RISs) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) hold considerable promise in bolstering the security of Internet-of-Things (IoT) networks. RISs, functioning as intelligent reflectors, passively enhance wireless coverage, while UAVsUnmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) provide dynamic and adaptable platforms for IoT communication, sensing, and monitoring. This chapter places particular emphasis on the application of RISs in anti-jamming UAV communication and radio surveillance, addressing challenges traditionally resistant to conventional optimization tools due to their non-convex nature.
