AI for Education: Bridging the Pandemic Learning Gap in the Aspirational Districts of Madhya Pradesh

摘要

The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated existing educational inequalities, particularly in India’s Aspirational Districts of Madhya Pradesh. This paper highlights significant learning gaps among elementary school students in these districts, including deficiencies in foundational skills such as mathematics, language proficiency, and disparities in digital access, which were exacerbated during the pandemic. It underscores the urgent need for innovative solutions to address these challenges. We propose leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to address these disparities and promote equitable learning opportunities. By analyzing existing challenges and outlining potential AI-driven strategies, this study calls for action to bridge learning gaps and improve educational outcomes in underserved areas. The findings and recommendations aim to inform educational policy and practice, contributing to a more inclusive and effective education system.
