However, its extensive diaspora, spanning 146 countries and numbering 32.1 million individuals, presents an invaluable resource for building India’s global stature by showcasing its traditional values and modern achievements. By fostering smart partnerships between the government and civil society, India has laid the groundwork for leveraging its diaspora’s potential effectively. This chapter explores how India can harness its diasporic community and utilize digital diplomacy strategies to address post-pandemic challenges and propel itself towards superpower status. Through historical analysis and case studies, it seeks to provide insights into India’s journey from a major power to a global leader, while also sending a message to its neighbours and the international community.
