About a million Nepali migrants work in the Middle East: both the Islamic countries and Israel. In the three decades period of this migration, they have undergone many experiences of awe and shock caused by their cultural differences with the host land societies. Mainly caused by the differences in terms of religion, politics, economy, and social management, the Nepali migrants find it difficult to adjust in the respective societies. These experiences have been the base of the Nepali literary creations in that locale of the Nepali transnational sphere. This chapter has tried to find how these experiences have been expressed through literary creations. For this, the researcher has reviewed the major contemporary writings of Nepali migrants living, working, and writing there and has analysed the way their experiences have been put into literary creations. The research concludes that the migrants’ real-life experiences are found in their poems, novels, stories, essays, and memoirs. These writings have portrayed the impact of a closed Islamic society, unlike the open society in Nepal; occupation-based social hierarchy, unlike the caste-based one in Nepal; differences in culinary items and chances for personal freedom; distance between male and female; the traditional concept about the housemaids and workers; and other socio-cultural discriminations against the migrants in the Middle East. These writings show that whatever is the social background back in Nepal, all Nepali migrants share the same culture, i.e. Nepali; and so, they try to save it for their solace in the host land.
