Design Method of Emulative Hybrid Assembled Precast Concrete Shear Wall
摘要
This chapter provides a reliable design methodology for the load-carrying capacity and stiffness of EHSW, to enhance its widespread adoption. The Chinese code offers calculation methods for the bearing capacity of both bending capacity and shear capacity, as well as the bending stiffness of shear walls. These methods, rooted in fundamental theories such as the plane section assumption, can be appropriately applied to EHSW through the concept of “equivalent cast-in-place”. However, it is critical to recognize that test results indicate differences in bearing capacity and stiffness between EHSW and traditional cast-in-place concrete shear walls, owing to their distinct characteristics. Naively applying existing theoretical formulas could lead to errors, potentially underestimating component capacity and causing material wastage. Therefore, by leveraging the mechanical properties of EHSW, test findings, and conclusions drawn from finite element parameter analysis, a tailored design methodology for the bearing capacity and stiffness of EHSW is developed, furnishing direct guidance for engineering applications.
