Determining food deterioration is essential to maintaining food safety and cutting down on waste. To detect spoilage, a range of methods are used, such as sensory assessment, chemical analysis, and technical methods like image processing and sensor technologies. Real-time food quality monitoring is made possible by sensors, which can identify changes in variables including temperature, humidity, gas concentrations, and microbial activity. Through the reduction of food waste and promotion of food safety, these techniques enable early intervention to prevent ingestion of dangerous food. By lowering the environmental effect of food waste, using strong spoiling detection systems improves supply chain management, reduces financial losses, and advances sustainability.
