A summary of the research being done on the reinforcement of various materials in aluminum metal matrix composites (AMMCs) is given in this study. Numerous studies have been conducted on aluminum, a material well-known for its lightweight and extensive industrial use, with the goal of improving its tensile strength, impact strength, hardness, and tribology characteristics—all while preserving ductility. This work intends to discover new paths for further experimentation to improve AMMC attributes by a thorough assessment of the literature covering different fabrication procedures and the effects of reinforcements on AMMCs across varied composition percentages. It highlights how crucial it is to carry out ongoing research on AMMCs in order to enhance their general characteristics and functionality.
