The construction rate of infrastructure toward smart and sustainable approach is increasing impressively; focusing on the need of faster and efficient construction of buildings with readily available materials such as concrete. Being considered the second-most-utilized substance on Earth, concrete requires the utilization of many naturally occurring resources for its production, thereby making the process “non-eco-friendly” and a contributor factor to the “greenhouse effect” phenomenon due to the generation of large amounts of carbon dioxide during the manufacturing of concrete. With similar considerations, researchers are being utilizing different materials for as a fractional replacement to core components of the concrete; without having any detrimental effects on the characteristics of the concrete sample in green and mature state. This study is an attempt to utilize the industrial waste products of Fly Ash, GGBFS and Recycled Aggregates into concrete mix designing for developing a sustainable concrete mix; in addition to the inclusion of EN-19 composite materials to focus on the tensile strength of concrete sample. Taguchi’s approach will be employed for making different sample portions. The laboratory experiments, focused on evaluating the mechanical characteristics of the sustainable composite concrete mix, are carried out in alignment with Indian Standard codal provisions.

摘要
