Due to over-exploitation and habitat loss, it is now vulnerable, necessitating the propagation and reintroduction of the species for future availability, considering its slow growth. With seed set and germination being major bottlenecks, micropropagation has emerged promising for its rapid multiplication. This review critically examines the current literature on Dalbergia micropropagation, exploring protocols, challenges, and future perspectives in enhancing propagation efficiency. Recent advancements in tissue culture methodologies are synthesized here, highlighting the role of explant selection, media composition, plant growth regulators (PGRs), and environmental factors in successful plantlet regeneration.
