There is a huge importance of a reliable and secure database system for storing sensitive data related to vaccination records. Traditional methods of centralized storage have several drawbacks such as mutable data, lack of transparency, and a single point of failure. To address these limitations, this research proposes a novel Blockchain based architecture that provides a decentralized, tamper proof, and easy to manage database for vaccination records. The proposed system consists of a smart contract that acts as the backend logic and a web application for data creation and retrieval. To ensure the authenticity of vaccination records, the proposed scheme employs a unique universal identification system created using cryptographic algorithms. Leveraging the advantages of Blockchain architecture, this proposed system offers a solution that addresses the limitations of centralized data storage and provides a secure and transparent platform for managing vaccination records. The system uses Polygon Blockchain as its base architecture and also provides a justification as to why this Blockchain is used by providing a detailed cost and time analysis of different chains.
