Energy storage solutions, which offer the flexibility required to account for the intermittent nature of renewable energy sources, have become increasingly important in the shift to sustainable energy systems. The inventive role of MXenes, a novel class of materials distinguished by their exceptional electrochemical performance and distinctive structural features, is examined in this work. We go through the synthesis, characteristics, and possible uses of different MXenes in energy storage devices as supercapacitors and batteries. We demonstrate the potential of MXenes to transform energy storage systems by analyzing their benefits, which include increased energy density, improved conductivity, and lightweight nature. We also discuss the integration and scaling issues that are currently being faced, and we suggest future research paths to improve MXenes for commercial energy storage solutions. The ultimate goal of this endeavor is to aid in the creation of sustainable, effective energy storage technologies that will aid in the world’s transition to cleaner energy sources.

摘要
