Development of an Intelligent Ambulance Traffic Management System
摘要
Traffic management is an in several major cities. Congestion at traffic signals is a common issue in many cities, particularly for automobiles requiring immediate medical attention. Fatalities occur as a result of inefficient traffic management. Ambulances may experience delays due to traffic congestion. In large, rapidly developing cities across the world, traffic is always an issue. In the present era, nearly 50% of delays experienced by ambulances when reaching hospitals are due to traffic and communication issues. Although ambulances are equipped with sirens to alert people, it still takes 30–60 min to reach a hospital in city traffic. Effective traffic control and communication are essential to enable ambulances to move swiftly without delay. This paper presents a comprehensive solution that includes a dashboard in the ambulance, showing a list of hospitals within a 5 km radius and enabling communication with them. Additionally, a sound sensor system in traffic detects the ambulance siren, turns all other signals red, and greens the path for the ambulance. This system reduces ambulance delays by 10–15 min, with the primary advantage of potentially saving lives.
