Intergovernmental Policy Dialogues: Global and Regional Initiatives for Diversified and Resilient Supply Chains
摘要
The global value chain participation is the key to globalisation and economic growth among both developed and developing economies. This chapter addresses the global concern around supply chains amidst the slowdown of international trade since the Global Financial Crisis till the present day and traces the important, though somewhat delayed, role of G20 and G7 economies in monitoring the developments in the supply chains, especially the critical mineral supply chains. Important cooperation is emerging among like-minded economies for reducing the supply chain dependencies in critical minerals. The quest for resilient and diversified supply chains in the aftermath of COVID-19 pandemic is achievable while balancing the tariff wars, cost efficiencies, and technology cooperation.
