A Model Focusing on Systemic Ergonomics and Activity Analysis: Newborns Saving Families in Obstetric Intensive Care Units
摘要
This study shows the design and implementation of an innovative model and strategy based on the systemic approach of ergonomics for the care of critically ill pregnant patients and the humanization of work and health in an obstetric intensive care unit. Between the years 2019 to 2023, 50 maternal and newborns attended based on the care model, built with a participatory and active methodology. A rapid recovery of the critical mothers and a direct relationship with early contact with their newborns were evidenced, it was possible to reduce the periods of sedation, the sedation vacations were improved, the indicator of early extubations was improved, there were no episodes of delirium, the period of hospitalization in the ICU was ostensibly reduced, achieving a longer stay of the mother with the newborn.
